Master Black Belt L6 Improvement Leader

Master Black Belt certified on successful completion, the Level 6 Improvement Leader programme is designed to build Leadership capability in Continuous Improvement.

Aimed at senior managers and transformation leaders, it incorporates principles, methods, and tools from Lean, Six Sigma and Operational Excellence, as well as Project Management, Change Management, Team Working and Team Leadership.

Classroom training and tutorials are carefully designed to build underpinning knowledge and share best practice through a range of specialist trainers and guest speakers, introducing latest thinking from a broad range of sectors to stretch understanding and enrich the learning experience. This is supplemented by 1:1 and group coaching to support application of learning in the workplace, enabling the development of Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours in line with the published Standard plus the delivery of significant workplace benefits through the development and deployment of Improvement Strategy.

Learners are expected to take full responsibility for their own journey, planning and completing activities to ensure they fulfil their potential. They also need to identify and engage with a senior/specialist person in their own organisation/network who will act as their mentor and who will contribute personally to the programme, sharing their experience and expertise with the cohort during one of the scheduled sessions.

The programme forms part of a suite which incorporates Levels 3 to 6 (equivalent to Yellow, Green, Black and Master Black Belt levels), thus allowing integration of capability development with job descriptions and progression pathways, as well as the building of a common language, toolset and culture for Continuous Improvement.

Completion of Green Belt / L4 training is an essential pre-requisite. Completion of Black Belt / Level 5 training is an ideal pre-requisite.
