L4 Improvement Apprenticeship Case Study
As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we wanted to share a L4 Improvement Apprenticeship Case study. So we caught up with Sara Bartlett, who works in People Shared Services at Costa Coffee, who’s currently completing the Level 4 Improvement Practitioner Apprenticeship.

FANTASTIC opportunity for personal development
“I started my apprenticeship in May 2022 and will finish in September 2023. It’s a fantastic opportunity for personal development and will bring new knowledge and skills to Costa”.
Biggest BENEFIT is applying the learning to my role
“In terms of what I hope to get out of the apprenticeship, it will be nice to have the qualification, but the biggest benefit is what I will be able to apply to my day-to-day role”.
Provides an opportunity to NETWORK
“It’s great working alongside people from very different sectors, with very different roles”.
Develops SKILLS for life
“I know that by completing this apprenticeship, I will be able to apply the principles of continuous improvement not only in my career, but also my role as a school governor, which benefits my local community”.
And finally, what would you say to anyone else considering this?
“It’s a brilliant way to learn new skills to apply at work. Undertaking the apprenticeship on the job for me has meant that I am able to use my day-to-day role as evidence in my portfolio, and I can immediately apply new knowledge”.
