Employer Reflections
Richard Atkins – Fidelity Head of Transformation and Change
“We want to continuously improve, and this programme is key to achieving our aims, giving a better service, reducing waste, being curious.”
“Don’t accept the status quo, let’s be bold and brave, you’ve all got a role to play.”
Andrew Cole – Fidelity Head of Global Operations
“I initiated the programme, we’ve set ourselves on a journey to become Lean, to drive CI. It’s a fundamental part of our transformation programme and we want it to become part of our DNA. It’s been a great programme, providing the basics as well as richer skills. I hope they’ll all become champions, we want them to be our leaders, to be proactive.”
“The projects show how much opportunity there is, operational processes are calling out for improvements, every small improvement goes a long way to reducing cost, increasing efficiency and quality, reducing risk and increasing customer experience. For us to be relevant and competitive, we need to improve every day. You’ve now got the skills to do this, need to continue making an impact.”
Brose Quality Director
“Tim’s project took extraordinary effort to gather data for decision making (especially during the pandemic when we couldn’t even access sites). It was a really complex project. Thanks to Capella for all the support”.
Brose Logistics Director
“Michael, as a new graduate, has been working with others and I’ve seen a growth in him. He’s been using the tools and my confidence and trust in him has grown. Thanks to Sven. Thanks also to Phil who did lots of work to support him”.
Phil – Brose
“Capella’s training was good and I really liked the EPA which tested skills and approach”.
Daryl – Sertec
“Course went really well and after EPA he’s carried on working with the team to implement additional countermeasures that have addressed 100% of the problem and we’ve been able to remove containments and internal firewalls”.
Nigel – BWI
“Phil’s’ Scrap Reduction project has had a cost and environmental impact. He’s used lots of tools and has shared the methodology globally. He’s now done another project and I’ve seen an increase in his confidence and improved communication skills when he’s working with others”.
Jerome – Wilko CEO
“Very proud of achievements, congratulations to everyone, especially impressive to have continued delivering benefits during the pandemic”
“This has required investment of time and effort in yourselves, challenging yourselves and building a new mindset…can use these skills anywhere…you’ve now got this in your armoury…we’re on a journey of reinventing ourselves and to sustain this, we need to change the way we do things and we can only do this through our people, building processes that are repeatable and visible…this is not just about cutting costs, but how we better ourselves…you’ve faced business and personal challenges through the pandemic and you’re now ambassadors…we’re not stopping here…want 4 times more people trained.”
Phil – Wilko
“£100k cash benefits, 140 man-hour savings, 80% improvement in compliance-based process, 300% improvement in ideas generated”
What more can we say! Congratulations to our learners on the achievement of their apprenticeships. Thanks to the Capella Team for all their hard work and support.
Well done everyone!
